DNMG has issued an extreme rainfall warning for Manufahi and Cova Lima municipalities due to the active monsoon trough positioned south of Timor-Leste. Rainfall totals exceeding 80mm are expected in the next 24 hours.

An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 was recorded at 22:15 UTC on 27 May 2026, approximately 120km southwest of Suai at a depth of 45km. No tsunami risk. Minor shaking felt in Cova Lima Municipality.
